Hi, I’m Brittany,
Hi there! I’m an LPC-Associate from Texas, and I’m passionate about helping women and mothers navigate the ups and downs of life. For a long time, I didn’t feel passionate about much—until I discovered my deep interest in learning about the mind and the human body. This journey of understanding has fueled my desire to help others, and I continue to learn and grow so I can share what I find with you.
Having gone through my own tough transition into motherhood, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be. There’s so much shame and guilt that often comes with it, and it can make you feel really isolated. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating a welcoming space for women to connect and feel less alone. We all deserve to thrive instead of just getting by, and I’m here to support you on that journey.
I also believe that our mental health works hand-in-hand with our physical bodies. Emotions are energies that flow through us, but they can sometimes get trapped. This connection is important because I think what we eat and the condition of our bodies significantly impact our mental well-being. There’s research showing that depression is linked to inflammation in the body, reminding us that taking care of ourselves physically can have a big effect on how we feel emotionally.
In my approach to therapy, I embrace a lighthearted and hopeful perspective that merges psychodynamic and somatic practices. I believe that mental health is not merely about uncovering the root causes of our suffering; instead, it's about addressing the intricate tapestry of mental, physical, and spiritual components that make us whole. By creating a nurturing space where clients can explore their experiences and sensations, I encourage them to engage in a journey of self-discovery and growth. With a sprinkle of humor and a focus on holistic well-being, we can transform challenges into opportunities for connection, resilience, and ultimately, joy.
